    As a developer …
As a developer Wordpress all the way. It does what it is meant to do very well, unlike Drupal where apparently the “userability” is a foreign concept, if I want to do a complex site I choose a framework, Drupal just sucks in too manys ways.

Chris is totally on the spot here. I’m an avid Drupal developer and even I, being a fanatic, will recommend Wordpress for a simple blog. But when it comes to making complex websites, Drupal is the way to go – hands down.

A search for “drupal” at milw0rm gave me 5 *outdated* results, ie. they have all been resolved. If your not happy with drupal thats fine, but your claim about lack of security is simply false. The Drupal Security team does a great job on resolving security issues, if you know of any you can report it to security (at) drupal (dot) org

I find maam31’s comment funny, because the poster have obviously no idea what he’s taking about. No system, whatsoever, is bulletproof – however some developers take security more seriously than others. Both the wordpress and drupal security team does a tremendous job on keeping the code as secure as it can be. Of course, if you have a site and you DONT add security patches/updates you’re going to be VERY vulnerable! But that accounts for any system whatsoever.

I tried Wordpress, Drupa and Joomla. I use wordpress for my blog and Drupal for my website (a travel website). Joomla seemed rather limited.
Drupal is great once you’ve got the hang of it, but getting the hang of it takes a good month of messing around.
I actually created my site with drupal with virtually no coding and it would have been far harder to do in joomla or wordpress.
