It’s always nice to ask permission, BUT youtube does allow the person who uploads the video to set it so there is no embed code. So usually if Youtube has the embed code with the video for you to copy it’s fair game.
If the video turns out to be copyrighted content (like Warner Bros, etc) and the owner didn’t give permission for it to be on Youtube it will get deleted once they tell Youtube. In which case, all embeded copies of it will cease to work.

Just go to your account, find the video and delete it.
