You are on the right track, but you don’t upload plugins through the dashboard. If you have FTP access to your website you should upload plugins to this folder:
/yoursite/wp-content/plugins/
Then when you go to the Plugins section of your Dashboard you will see the plugin listed and deactivated.

I am sick of the word race, or racism. There is no race but the human race, only cultural divides. Racism was an invented word to put a schism between people to get them to hate and fight each other. It is used as a tool to help propagate violence, animosity, and social upheaval, not to mention social ignorance. Its a word that attaches itself and is hard to remove. But it is not legitimate, for there is only one race on this planet. Stereotyping, or over generalising, are better terms. Or how about plain old low IQ ignorance.
