Are some of the media just the propaganda tools of those with abnormal views?

When we look back through history, periods of terror are generally preceded by the identification of one or several minority groups. These are singled out for vilification and are blamed for all of the social ills of the day, then used as an excuse for increased powers in their persecution.
I, by no means, make no comparison with the level of the propaganda or the level of persecution experienced, but don’t you find something sinister in the Mass Media’s methods and the reaction it generates.

Yes. I believe that mass media is used as manipulation of minds on a grand scale. What puzzles me though, is who or what (group) decides the particular agenda, whatever it may be. And I’m not talking marketing strategy here.
The resources for this mass brainwashing must astronomical. Scary stuff considering most don’t realize this is going on or can even humor the possibility.
