Video blogging, sometimes shortened to vlogging[1][2][3] (pronounced v’LOG-ing or VEE-log-ing) or vidblogging[4][5] is a form of blogging for which the medium is video,[6] and is a form of Internet television. Entries often combine embedded video or a video link with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts. It is also a very popular category on YouTube.
Video logs (vlogs) also often take advantage of web syndication to allow for the distribution of video over the Internet using either the RSS or Atom syndication formats, for automatic aggregation and playback on mobile devices and personal computers (See video podcast).
Video blogging arose as a video form of blogging.
Vlogging saw a strong increase in popularity beginning in 2005. The Yahoo! Videoblogging Group saw its membership increase dramatically in 2005 [7]. The most popular video sharing site to date, YouTube, was founded in February 2005. Many open source content management systems enable posting of video content allowing bloggers to host and administer their own video blogging sites. Moreover, convergence of mobile phones with digital cameras allow publishing of video content to the Web almost as it is recorded.[8]
Radio Stations and television stations are now using video blogging as a way to help interact more with listeners and viewers.[9]

Very few people don’t want to be successful, but the majority has little or no idea as to how to reach their goal. A blog can be a huge boost to get you to where you want to be, whether your dream is to be interviewed on Oprah or become a world-famous author.

Blogs are amazing things. There are plenty of badly written ones out there, but when put to use properly, you’ll find that a weblog can really be powerful.
First of all, blogs are easy to read. It’s very difficult to read huge amounts of text online, but the short posts that are published on blogs are nice and easy to make out.

If you have a plan, you can use your blog to send you shooting toward your end goal, usually with terrific results. The first thing to do, of course, is establish a blog.
There are free services like Blogger out there, but if you want to do things the right way, you’ll need your own hosting and domain name. Then you need to write some content.
Content is the most important thing a blog has to offer. It doesn’t have to be all writing . . . if you are a photographer, your blog could be made up entirely of photos with a few captions.
