How do you get traffic to your blog?
Do you blog? Do you blog to advertise items you are selling? I am rather new to the blogging world. I mainly blog to advertise products that I am selling and websites that I am selling on. How do I get traffic to my blog? Do I basically just need to add content? Does my blog get picked up in the search? Any advice on blogging is very much needed.

You are right that you need to write content, but that is not enough. You also need to do some blog promotion to get some initial visitors. If I were you I would sign up for a twitter account and start using it to promote all new posts.
Commenting on other blogs is also a great way to get visitors, because blog comments normally have a back link to your site.

What is blogspot when it comes to live streaming football?
People post links to websites that have (for example) live streaming football and they nearly always have .blogspot. in the link. When I follow these there is just match details and adverts, no football (even when I know the game is being played). Do I need to install something or sign up to something?
usually these are just spam websites and they use blogspot because its free and easy to set up. these are some sites i use, i think you have to install a program for these to work. just read the website.

How do I forward a regular website to blogspot?
I have about 4-5 sites that are outdated and not used. I have a new blog @ blogspot and I would like to forward those domains so they show up on the blogspot address. How do I go about doing this? My domains are hosted by GoDaddy and are blank at the moment. I had originally forwarded them to another hosting company but they never built the sites.
in your domain manager for go daddy, you need to change each domain to "forwarded" then type in the website which visitors should be forwarded to.
